As a virtual pilot you might be interested in what we, the developers at 1CGS, are doing these days to keep PC combat flight sims alive? Well, let us share with you what we are working on as hard as a human possibly could.

First of all, a moment of your attention to IL2:BOS, our one year old son who’s being so generously favored this summer. If you missed the last Developer’s Diary update then here’s the list of features that were expected by many and that will be added:

• Adjustable SSAO and HDR setting
• Distant landscape textures quality setting
• Server capacity increased to 64 players
• Free F11 camera and a set of various action cameras.

And much more is coming soon to IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad within less than a month.

And don’t forget about the new free seasonal maps we’re going to release for all BOS players this fall. Yes, this takes quite a lot of time and effort to turn whole white winter into sun burnt Stalingrad steppes. But it looks like that here in Russia at the moment so we can be really good in painting some good textures.

It’s still pretty calm here, but the air is waiting for your armored birds… Prepare to takeoff into the bright-blue hot sky of summer Stalingrad in Fall 2015.

Meanwhile, Battle of Moscow enters the Early access stage in July giving you (if you’ve already pre-ordered the Premium Edition of BOM) our new I-16 Type 24, the well-known early Soviet fighter plane, often called by its Spanish nickname “Rata”.
