Scripted Campaign Mode Announcement and Pre-Order new historical Campaign

Dear Friends,

Years ago, the original Sturmovik title motivated the community to produce dozens of wonderful historically based scripted campaigns. There were both official and community Campaign projects. These Campaigns were available on forums, were included in big releases or sold as separate add-ons in various countries. They added a lot to the original Sturmovik experience for all users.

We wanted to revive this tradition for some time now, and, as you may have learned from Battle of Kuban announcement, we planned to offer new historical (scripted) Campaigns simultaneously with its release. However, we later decided to not postpone playing this mode and release the first Campaign as early as this year.

We are proud to announce that today we open the new historical Campaign "Ten Days of Autumn" Pre-Order for IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Moscow.


This single-player Campaign tells the story of a difficult time in October 1941 for the German Luftwaffe on the Moscow front. The Campaign follows the actions of Luftwaffe Group I./JG 52 who were supporting the tip of the German thrust deep into Russia, flying missions from frontline airfields in the Kalinin area. German forces faced seemingly never ending artillery strikes, attacks from Soviet ground forces and sudden VVS air strikes. The intense combat as well as the tough weather conditions demanded maximum effort from Luftwaffe pilots, foreshadowing the looming collapse of the Operation Typhoon. You get to play the role of commander of the second flight in the third squadron (3./JG 52).  

The campaign consists of 15 missions created using modern historical research and scientific works, including archival war maps and documents. It is scheduled to be released in December 2016. By Pre-Ordering it, you'll get a unique additional I./JG 52 skin for the Bf 109 F-2.
